Well that most definitely did not go to plan! I was flying on the bike, caught the guy who won our Age Group last year, then hit some debris on the road, front and rear puncture. I have 2 spare tubes, but one of those had a dud valve. I was stuck for over 90 minutes waiting for the roving mechanic to show up! Did the best I could for the rest of the race, ran well, but such a shame as I was right in the mix at the front of my age group. Oh well….that’s racing!
