The Great Raemondo
BDP.
Right, this month's luke warm Frikandel speciaal from a vending machine at 3am looks a bit like this
Swim: 6.2km that's a pretty swimmy month by recent standards. In fact, since 2018. Not bad.
Bike: 236 combination virtual and proper outsidey kms. Joint with March for most kms of the year so far. At the half way through the year point I'm well over half of last year's kmage. Run: 29kms. Not very good, but better than May.
Dvd extras
Rugbies: 3. I thought there were more, actually. Ho hum. Walking: lots, and then not so much. But 98km total, which is by a whisker the most I've ever bothered recording in a month. PTUAPTDA: yes. Some of that. But only like 3.
Bricks: 2 Bling: virtual WCP completed and received New kit: so much. Notably, new skeleton bike jersey and rainbowy fetch tops. Axes thrown: 3 individual axes each thrown multiple times. It was extremely fun.

June was a bit of a non-event after a solid 3 months. A week off at the start with a cold ruined any kind of stats and then the last few days I've been out with an injured thumb.
So: Swim 8 Bike 125 Run 59
DVD extras - an aquathon and a triathlon. Most of the bike miles were commuting but I did go for a ride with the local cycle club and they seemed nice
Lowest run mileage of the year but highest swim now masters is back and I can get a 3k set done once a week.
I've managed to get a sports bra on this morning so I'll get a run done today. I have no idea how I'm going to get it off again though :-/ Swim and bike are going to have to wait a few more days

Reasonable June but work really got in the way so bike miles down on what I had planned:
Swim 14km / 5:30 hours Bike 427km / 20 hours Run 133km / 17 hours Other: 3 hours
TOTAL: 45.5 hours
DVD extras: HIM PB - 32 minute improvement, hugely encouraged by that, roll on Outlaw!

Dagnabbit!
Just got the deelnemers info email from the Isaac 043 tri people. Turns out the oly is on the Sunday, not the Saturday as I had somehow been convinced.
This means it clashes with the office cricket match they I've been getting so worked up about. I'm quite annoyed by this.

So there was a bloke waiting to go swimming with me. About my age* and wearing teenytiny budgie smugglers it’s CHELMSFORD WATER POLO on the arse. Looked a bit overweight and age-worn. All a bit sad.
Then he got in the water and his technique seemed okay. Nothing flash except the bastard was cruising two lengths to my one. Seriously. What the fuck.

*I know TRO is loosely ‘about my age’ too but at least he has the decency to look scary fit rather than doing it by stealth.

The one thing you can never be sure of is guessing swimming form by looking at bodyshape.
Cyclists: Look for the sculpted calves and monster quads Runners: Look for those bouncy types who could do with a good meal Swimmers: No idea! The unlikeliest looking swimmers can be superfast.
