Would work for me as I wouldn't need to get in the water .
However I don't swim and have never used such a thing.
Anyone help EP here ?

haha
I've gone from "I can do the swim" to "arse no swimming panic"
I've seen these guys for months and it makes sense but just not sure - I guess I was hoping swimming would be OK! But I think restrictions will stay until March ... all olds jab 1 by mid feb + 2-3 weeks to increase immunity hence March earliest to easy back into tiers when pools could open and OW doesn't open here until mid April (if it's allowed)

Not sure if you were thinking of getting the full kit or not but I would say you could probably get much the same training effect from using a theraband or just swim chords on their own. In my not too expert an opinion the main thing is about keeping the swim muscles active and strong, I have been doing dry land conditioning since the start of Lockdown 1 and didn't find getting back in the water too traumatic last time after 6 months out, loss of swim fitness perhaps, but nothing but actual swimming would have resolved that

Have to say not a fan. Swimming for mid/back pack athletes is all about getting breathing and body position better, then perhaps looking at catch and feel for the water. What slows us down is not muscular strength and stamina.
A very good swimmer who will slot comfortably into a good swim stroke after years of decent level swimming can short cut some of the swim specific muscular endurance/stamina build which will be required to reach their absolute competitive best with this device.
But for most of us (I include myself): Bike/Run has kept our heart and lungs in good shape. It'll take 1-2 weeks to get the stroke re-imprinted into muscle memory and then 1-2 weeks of some threshold swims to be probably 95% of pre lockdown. That's what I found after lockdowns 1.0 and 2.0. I am not convinced that using this device would have changed my timescales.
After a month I'd be chasing that last 5% by swimming 4/5 times a week, doing my drills and getting kicked at swim squad.
I would say: keep doing strength and conditioning, also google 'good strength exercises for freestyle swimming'. General S&C, especially core is your friend.
All IMHO, and remember I am not a good swimmer by any stretch.

Maybe it’s panic fear I was ... I can swim and let’s gain as much extra time as possible for poor bike leg
Maybe I should be thinking the swim will happen and coach will get me through the bike leg stronger focus on the bike and believe

£159?!!!!!
For an inflatable bag and some elastic bands? They must have massive windows in their shop!!
I would buy some swim bands (no, not arm bands ) for about £25 and use them if you want to do makey-on swimming. It can be useful to keep up a low-weights/high reps type of load on your puny shoulder muscles (rotator cuff etc) and your triceps. I'd recommend light dumb-bells before a ZenSwim.
As Clinchers and TRO have both already said, swimming will come back relatively quickly once you get back in the pool. Especially as you're doing such amazing work with your biking and running at the moment.
