Upside of today: Shepperton OW announced they're opening.
Downside: IM Cascais is postponed until November.
There are some virtual races mooted by club members, but I'm not sure I can be bothered.
So. Postpone Cascais (until November), pick Weymouth or France (September) or defer until next year....

Bonkers swim this morning.
Swam out then hooked right to swim parallel to the shore. Swam like buggery for 30 minutes, turned and then swam back to the entry point in 3 and a half minutes! Was like being in a speedboat. Very funny, temp up a bit more as well.
Gobi, yes you have to be so alert in these races, a race can be lost with 3 seconds of poor concentration. Bad luck! It’s a very different mindset to ‘normal’ turboing where you keep an eye on the numbers but otherwise try and distract yourself from the pain/fatigue/boredom as much as possible.
Good work on the last 20 mins!

Nice numbers PoD, bugger about the race (and the TT too). And great tide race swimming TRO.
Morning all. Sun is splitting the trees here. Gonna be a scorcher.

TRO - just annoyed at myself really, having managed to get my head in the right place for another race that was 90 mins later, fueled and warmed up. I should no better now than to switch off. All I can think is that I didn't know the climb so wasn't ready for its gradient so wrong gear etc..
Nice boating !!
60 mins easy for me today, this is a "full gas" recovery day :¬)
Duathlon Worlds have been cancelled so I feel vindicated that I held off paying etc..

Morning all,
Angus, I have done any OW swimming I got all the gear in March then lockdown came into force, I was thinking of using Loch Ness I know there is a group that swim there on a Saturday.
Easier day for me today a couple of Z1/2 rides.

I have been in a kayak on Loch Ness, I'm a far better cyclist than a kayaker !!
