I have shortness. And short legs. The inspirational MrsC has “positive reach” (her arm span is greater than her height). She is great at rock climbing and fetching things down for her short-arse husband!

I'll be doing a record (for me, lately) amount of walking today, as the Sam is doing one of them runs that's lots (up to 12) of laps of a short (6.3k) course but there's a maximum of one lap per hour. While he's doing that I'll be loafing around this pretty Belgian village with the honds. There's a flea market happening later.

(clocked up around 9000 steps, entirely without mechanical aids. That's at least double my p previous unaided record since the debacle. Currently completely immobilised and enjoying a much needed ice pack.tomorrow will be a gentle one)

Rae don't overdo it - it can be a case of one step forward two steps back otherwise

I am still alive! I did it! My swim was awful and I was over cautious on the bike but I kept going on the run even though i nearly melted.
Today my calves feel like they’ve been bashed with mallets - any advice for recovery?
