No, not especially perturbed. I had nothing riding on the race, but also didn't see it as really bad. No clumping together in peletons like IM Barcelona/Italy as a gameplan for the race - it's a busy course, and I didn't see any draft busters but what I saw was mostly folk trying to do the right thing. I was in second to last wave, mid pack swim and then biked through a lot of the field so possibly didn't see the worst of it, but then course is 2 out and backs and I really didn't notice blatant drafting coming back the other way. It may have been different for the guys coming out front pack swim and fighting bikers of similar ability for the pointy end places. It was, however, a 'GB Tri Suit' fest which was far more perturbing.... |
