Lovely and sunny here now, bit fresh though
Hope you escape TRO, selling the HQ is a bit short sighted in my opinion, although if want any sort of pension they've got to do something.

'Speaking of the latest job-shedding, chief exec Gavin Patterson, said: “I am really excited to be delivering the next stage of BT’s transformation and have put in place the team that will support me in achieving these objectives.”'

Must have missed this bit...
'Yes I have been CEO for the last 5 years and the last 3 big transformational strategic changes I've announced have been abject failures and the share price has duly bombed as a direct result (not mention the countless hundreds of millions squandered), but you CAN trust me on this next transformation, honest....'

LOve that hokey-cokey thing. We do it here too.
10 Coppers are expensive - we need to replace them with civvies
20 err... crime is rising and the government want to be able to say there are more cops - sack the civilians.

NHS (and Education) do the national/regional/local thing:
Centralise everything, no 2 tier service, no postcode lottery, put all the experts in one place and let the patients travel; this will save loads of money except we'll spend it on 70quid wastepaper bins for the new managers we'll need, also it will be high trust and paper-light.
Oh look, one size does not fit all and we're in debt; Make the little guys in charge, they can take the responsibility for our deficits thinking they're in control. This will save loads of money except we'll spend it on 70quid wastepaper bins for the new managers we'll need, also it will be high trust and paper-light.

Over 800 years this institution has developed a series of interlocking committees with overlapping responsibilities, combined with a sovereign decision-making body that has 3,000 members and operates on a consensus basis. The idea of cost cutting is preposterous, indeed the concept of even considering the cost of something is utterly vulgar.

Sounds interesting Glenn, i just hope their revenue is up to the job.
Just been out with the dig, she loves me working at home, she's now lazing the sunshine in the garden.
It's lovely in the sunshine, although it's quite breezy, i really should go out on my bike...
