Tri vents arent the heel drawbridge thingies, but they have no tongue and as such are not ideal for cold days. Recently tried Shimano TRsomethings, but way to small for me. wheras I wear Shimano Road shoes (although in wide) and they are ace
For info I run in Hoka Bondi Wides (4E) which makes tri bike shoes annoyingly hard to find

I am guessing that how we judge the merits of a tri shoe are different.
Thanks Lammo

On a (sort of) related note, the Spesh S Works road shoe is a thing of beauty, especially in matt black. Love it, on my 3rd pair, by far the best cycle shoe I've worn.
There is no drawbridge either

I love those lace-up Giro things. Massive triumph of style over content, but *what* style.

That's a heck of a lot of shoe for the money, TRO. I just buy SIDI Genius 5s because I have no imagination whatsoever.

.......Designed for elite-level competition, the Specialized S-Works Trivent Road Shoe is the most highly engineered triathlon shoe in the world. It features the revolutionary Tri-Specific Drawbridge closure system........etc
Trivent and drawbridge. Knew I wasn't going mad.
There is another trivent though, without the windy-up bit. Hence the confusion.
