Rich, to be fair you can't remember where you live most days.

I can't comment on the trivent as I have never used it. In all my years I have used 2 pairs of lakes and 1 pair of SWorks. All I care about is are they firm.

Are the Trivent ones the things that look like sandals? Aesthetically I think they are great.
Much as I love all thinks SIDI their tri shoes are weird. Look like one flap goes in-to-out and one goes out-to -in.

Is the Tri vent the one with a little drawbridge instead of a heel thing, so allegedly you save 3 nanoseconds sliding your foot in compared to a normal heel (then waste 74 seconds turning a little dial to lift the drawbridge back up once in.....).

I was looking at the trivent last night, can confirm drawbridge hingmy with dial etc. I think they might be a touch open-toed Jesus-boot for the local climate.

Did I imagine it or did Shimano used to do SPD sandals with the strapline 'shave your toes'?

I don't think I've ever seen Rich anywhere other than Cambridge University track. I just assumed he lived there.
