OC - handy when the other half also likes cycling and the chance to go do some bike work in the mountains was too good to miss.

Given that Cav seems almost unbeatbale in a sprint it will be interesting to see if the other teams start to push more riders into breakways to avoid the bunch sprint at the end. Never write off Mr Armstrong he is superhuman, he only needs one day in the mountains and the Tour could be his. Contador and Armstrong fighting out up Mont Ventoux

It's great the Tour is here again! Cav is just incredible. Anyone reckon the reason Astana are so ambivalent about Contador as leader is because they know he's a;ready signed for another team for next year?

Contador was declared leader by the DS, its some riders that have a problem with this. TBH, i'm not sure why Astana signed Armstrong, it just complicates things.
Has Contador signed for someone else? the last rumour was Vino comes back, Contador stays and Armstrong, with the Kazakh government taking back control.

Loving the tour already....
Cav to win 6 stages and Green jersey..including a win on Champs Elysee.... Armstrong to win 1 mountain stage to show he still has got it.... Astana to split into 2 camps mid way through the tour..then fall apart afterwards... Contador and Evans to fight it out up Ventoux....hope Evans gets it...I like his more aggressive attitude this year...that was what seemed lacking in last 2/3 years..he has had so many 2nd places, he needs a win.

Finally back after some serious festival going SPR and TW you have it well covered there, I'm wondering if Astana will implode somewhere sometime as well especially now that VIno has said he wants back in as leader too.
So what have we today? Stage 3 Marseilles to Grand Motte or whatever its called about 200k The last 100k is totally flat. There's only 2 cat 4 climbs so its a day for the sprinters and there can only be one............Cavendish!!!!!
Cav to win this, all he needs is a good leadout again and he's in. Farrer, Bennati and Freire I'm hoping will put up a better challenge than yesterday
