Yep, assuming no crashes of course, but I think Cav is on a mission and I do think he's the fastest of the lot when he gets it right.

'twas an excellent result for Eddy Bos!
Good to see that Cavs sandbagging at the intermediate sprint 'fooled' everyone into thinking he wasn't up for the win

Cav's twitter post from today: Looked forward to a rare Tour de France lay in til 10 this morning, but I was woken up to piss in a pot at 6:30 for anti-doping control

Nicely done by Lotto. Anyone with better eyes than me tell me what happened to OPQ? Seemed they had plenty of riders left 2km out. Then all of a sudden, just Steegmans and Cav.

No idea, OPQ train was there then it vanished. Must have got squeezed out. Cav appeared from nowhere but Lotto showed the value of an excellent leadout.

IMO they started working at 16k to go and then lost riders owing to having ridden at the front for too long leaving Steegmans too much to do in the last k and Cav had to start his sprint from too far out

I think OPQS ran out of steam. With 30k to go they had to pace Cav back in after the crash. They were then back on the front with 15km to go, rather than staying covered for a bit, recovering and then hitting the front a touch later than usual.
