Cav will have been livid to have been left in the barrage with just his wits and Velits to bring him back.

Most of the GC riders will be taking it steady-ish saving themselves for the weekend. Although it might be the perfect opportunity to spring a surprise attack - would be a bloody long way out though. Rolland to go for mountain points again?
