EBH is only just getting back to fitness. He may make a play for green if he can get a stage, as well as some intermediates. Thor Hushovd won the Norwegian champs at the weekend on a hilly course and beat EBH.

Agree with Meggers about Sky, who knows what they've been upto, especially Wiggins, he's hardly raced this year. He could be in a good position after the pave as I see him fairing better than the other contenders, and then it's just a case of seeing whether his climbing has improved even more after last year.

Actually having checked that claim about Wiggins hardly racing, it seems I'm wrong. Just can't remember him racing loads (I suppose the Giro took up 21 days of racing though!) cqranking.com

I read last night that Wiggo has been practising hills behind a motorbike to replicate Contador making a break for it!

Perhaps the near miss of the podium last year has really fired him up and he's more hungry for it than before.

I wonder if Team Sky will try to make a big splash in the first day or two, will Wiggins go for the time trial win or will he be riding more conservatively for the overall Tour?

Worth getting Cycling Weekly tomorrow for the Tour guide. It'll be right up to date, unlike the programme I bought yesterday which has Valverde all over it.

cyclingweekly.co.uk

Eurosport look to be showing the high mountain stages right from the very start which is cool.

Make sure you have plenty of space Argie, HD recordings take up a load of room. Also record the following programme, just in case they've ridden slower than the TV schedulers have planned!!
