The weather does make it harder on sessions that depend on being outdoors. Let us know when you've ticked them all off.

My friend sent me a thing from Twitter by someone who’s written an article about making tiny changes. One of them is ‘learning to ride a horse and take up jousting’. Which I, for one think is something we could ALL achieve if we just put our minds to it.

GM I will have to change into a 2nd lot of kit when I get home to do my strength work the problem is if I get (as expected) totally drenched running home from work I will probably just be cold and want a bath instead! This means I will need to get back into kit and do my strength work later today! Or tomorrow is a non running day I could move it to then when I am already doing upper body and core work - that could be the more sensible option. Hmm I may need to rethink my original planning

Dunno if it is of any interest but I get an email from the Atomic Habits guys now and again.
Today he is offering bonus chapters to anyone who has bought his book or buys it today.
You just need to send a copy of your receipt so if you bought via amazon it will be on your account. Fmail me and I'll forward the the email address you need. I won't stick the email on a public forum cos I don't want to be responsible for James Clear getting spammed
Here is the blurb of the email I received :-
You can get the secret chapter – plus 5 other free bonuses – if you buy a copy of Atomic Habits before Friday, January 12, 2024.
Secret Chapter: The Biology of Bad Behavior. (Only available until January 12, 2024.)
Bonus Business Guide: How to Apply Atomic Habits to Business. Get specific examples and insights on how to use the concepts in the book to create better products and a more effective business.
Bonus Parenting Guide: How to Apply Atomic Habits to Parenting. A full report on how to help your children build better habits.
The Habits Cheat Sheet: This useful summary compresses many of the key ideas and insights from the book into a handy reference guide for how to build a good habit or break a bad one.
Companion Reading Guide: This series of 5 emails will walk you through the book and deliver extra content for understanding the main ideas. Each email also includes one idea for changing your habits that is not mentioned in the book.
Habit Tracker: This beautiful habit tracker template makes it easy to track your habits and stick with good routines.

I've been using tiny habits for my guitar playing recently.
Spending 5 minutes doing 3 different types of finger picking exercises - so 15 minutes total of every practise session. I'm hoping it will eventually lead to me being a better guitar player.

Pix: flexibility beats frustration. Also: doing strength work when cold and wet = no! Forcing yourself is counter productive! So if you don't feel like strength after your bath, move it to the evening or next morning?
