I entered as part of a team of 7 this year, however had to drop out at the last moment because of injury. Spent the weekend watching/ helping out with food runs/ jumper carrying/ feeling hugely envious of every runner... It was a fantastic event and the team I was with all finished every lap with a big grin on their face- okay, so there were some ropey moments around 2am especially as another member of the team had to retire after 2 laps with a knee problem, and it would have been miserable in the rain, but I will definitely be there next year- RUNNING!

Hells Bells, certainly not too slow to join in, our team times ranged from 59 mins to 2 hours. I did the first lap and was firmly in amongst the soloists! In later laps I was passed by speedy folk and also passed a lot of soloists or other runners who were walking (I walked A LOT) of my final lap.
If I did a team of five again it would certainly be with runners who did 60+min laps, any less and the time between laps would be too little (for me). Some teams of 8 had a real mixture, fast/slow or people with different goals eg 2 or 7 laps. Any combination works.
Yesterday I wasn't sure if I wanted to do this again. The pain and tiredness is fading and I have a feeling my attitude may change

that meant to say I walked a lot of my final lap. Legs not hurting, just couldn't pursuade them to keep running!

What is the date? If u do solo do u have to keep going til the bitter end for it to count ? Eg if u stop after 15 hours does that count as a dnf?

Sign me up for 2012! Another fantastic weekend at TR24 2011. We did our final lap as a Team - was great - we ran the flat/downhill sections and walked all the ups. We decided none of us had the mental strength left to do another lap on our own so we ran round together and crossed the line as a team waving our flag! (making sure we only had one timing chip on!). In the end we each did six laps. am cream crackered today!

Helen, if you do just one full lap and then stop if wouldn't count as a DNF. The placings are by number of laps completed and there is no compulsion to do the full 24. Winning solo male actually stopped running at 23 hours because he couldn't be beaten by that stage.
