I have a sneaky suspicion that Running on Empty will be back next year! I think we could have got at least one more lap in if I hadn't had a slight fueling issue. Running through the woods whilst eating porridge is one of the weirder things that I have ever done :) but it worked! Overwhelmed with my sense of achievement today - 54 miles is a long way :)

I even spotted the porridge pot and wondered why it was in the middle of the wood at 6km!

I think TR24 is as much a mental challenge as a physical one. I still cant believe how I managed 6 laps despite no running in May and only 20ish miles in june due to an injury. Ran more miles yesterday than I done don in the rest of the month of July. Bizarrely it also seems to have cured the last vestiges of my plantar fascitis (sp?) injury. I have to say doing the last lap as a team was fab. I definitely didnt have the mental capacity to go round again on my own but as a team the lap seemed to whizz by despute the screaming quads, hamstrings, calfs!

Just want to point out that I left it next to a sign and a big pile of sis gel wrappers - didn't just dump it!
