About 1am, James. Just the one brief one.
It's amazing what eleven hours continuous sleep in a comfy bed can do. Next year, I'm taking a camper van to sleep in, a kitchen slave to feed me and a large, unfriendly dog to set on anyone running a chuffing generator after 11 at night and before 6 in the morning.

I've mentioned the generator to the organisers. Question is whether they'll notice my complaint in amongst all the otherwise gushing praise I've just sent them. Hopefully they might suggest next year that they are turned off during "quiet" time.

I could cope with the tent, but I'll maybe bring a car next year so I have the possibility of either bringing more warm clothes, or charging stuff up.
3 hours off and on trains with two big bags after so much running and so little sleep was a challenge in itself.

We all heard it HOD. For both nights!
Which isn't ideal when you need to be sleeping on the Friday.

Jovi Runner
DeeGee - I camped at the top of the hill in Campsite B. It was definitely a much quieter area and as good as a cool down after each lap. A bit further from start/finish area but meant for more rest than when have camped in Area A in previous years. Def recommend AreaB - we were just up the hill from the 3KM marker which meant you could spot runners at a couple of points on the course which was also a bonus. My team I was running with was in campsite A so I think I covered a few extra miles between my tent and my team!

She will soldier on, though. She's hard!
I was thinking this morning. Would it be a good idea next year to try and set up camp right next to the run course. I know that Stander said it wasn't good being so close to the handover zone, but would some of the other parts of the course have been better?
