That's a decent ride Wardi, we had a lovely calm day too so did another short track session. I know a lot of folks here swear by those weight sessions, especially for us older athletes. But then all too often I hear of gym related injuries like Mike's. For gym haters like me, it's all the discouragement I need.

Little Miss Happy
Hope the meds keep you safe until Tuesday TT.

OO61 - a timely reminder to do what we can whilst we can and want to.

riggys - I get the same which is the main reason I always do a short run the day before a race.

I couldn't keep my hands and feet warm enough to ride in this weather Wardi - you're doing well.

Blimey TT, hope you get some healing going soon

OO61 - you never know what's round the corner, just look at poor TT

Wardi- nice one on the ride.......loads of older folks are walking around with back damage or a compromised back, sone dont even know it until they try to use their body. Keeping moving and as much mobility as possible is key.

Bike commute and 4m tonight.

On my camping chair in the lounge tonight as our sofas were taken for disposal today. The replacements will hopefully arrive tomorrow.

TR. hope you are enhancing the camping experience while boiling the kettle on a portable gas stove.😊

LMH.. I am slowly learning what to wear on a bike in the prevailing conditions. Tights with shorts on top today ( I like to have some pockets). 3 layers on top plus 2 pairs of gloves proved to be about right. It was 10 degrees so not too cold.

Looking at the forecast for next week I might not be doing much outdoor running never mind cycling.

TT - "Unsettling" , you have many talents and master of the understatement is one. 155 bpm is crazy in that situation. Hope you find an answer and then a solution asap. I will look out for the Reading vests. Excellent one you will be coaching one of the runners.

OO61 - Jeez that's shocking. You gotta ride the wave whilst you still can.

Wardi - A proper ride. Nice work.
Riggsy ' here they are, tiger feet.

Thanks for the good wishes. All packed, fly to Venice tomorrow afternoon, meet my mate and then some sightseeing, could involve a gondola and most surely St Marks Square. Then off to Verona by train Saturday afternoon, pick up bib, risotto and a beer, then hopefully slumber. Wrap up warm as forecast nows says 2C at start, 6C at finish on Sunday. Bib number 1042, somehow prefer even numbers. Carbo loading has started.b

Evening

That’s bad news OO61

I would imagine it’s harder to keep warm on the bike than running wardi

Loving the shoes OO. Sounds like a great trip planned. Hope the marathon goes well. My shoes are all one colour after a couple of weeks a muddy brown.

2 and a bit miles today. Achilles mostly fine but odd twinge. Have had heel raisers in my walking shoes so tried them in my racing shoes and seems to have helped. Did 1/4 mile ish at MP and that didn’t aggravate the injury. Ice pack on when I got home and some strengthening exercises this evening.

@Tiptoes I'm glad you're going to get a cardioversion after all.

You may want to discuss the possibility of an ablation with your cardiologist to prevent recurrences of atrial fibrillation.

Being young and active you're a good candidate for that procedure.

About This Thread

Maintained by TR
Hi

Fetch has said us RW refugees can relocate here. I know there are existing sub3 and 3.15 threads, but the fetch threads seem to be for more infrequent posters. The RW threads are more of a daily diary.

We'll see how it goes.

I'm a M57 hanging on to sub3. I'm unattached harriers so like a place to talk a bit of running and find some inspiration and accountability.
