Enjoy OuchOuch.
Take it easy riggys. Nothing to be gained now.
Wardi - I had so much bike kit when I was tri training it was silly but even winter boots with overshoes and two pairs of gloves wouldn't keep my feet and hands warm in 10C.

OO - hope you go well, the shoes look flash, is that permanent? If so i might do my black pair, seeing as they are too slow.
Riggsy - still got a week for more improvement. I think you need to run often if you can.
Double bike and 3m run today, completed the taper week as planned. I think the rain is gone now for Sunday, the wind will be whatever mother nature sends. Im hoping i can have a strong run and see some sub3 potential.

The Gosport weather does look more encouraging now TR, best of luck and hope you go well.
OO.. that's a lot chillier than your usual overseas marathons, have a great run. Love the shoe artwork!
Riggys.. yes I'm still learning about bike wear in autumn and winter. I used to commute in the cold/winter occasionally so I'm re-learning really.
LMH.. I bet you don't miss it, 10 degrees is about my cycling limit nowadays.
8.9m today, enjoying the mild running conditions while they last. Might be on the treadie for a few runs next week.
Heard today that the Valencia Marathon is on.

Good luck TR, no rain sounds good👍 My bike is for fair weather only. Hope you are right about Valencia wardi- several pals going. Hopefully Malaga will go ahead too.
My 2 track efforts this week proved too much for the knee, and very sore today. I sacked off the run and swam 2.5km instead. Hopefully parkrun is still on, but pace will depend.how it feels in the morning 🤞

Evening all
Hope the knee allows you a good Parkrun OO61
Nice mileage wardi, velociraptor has put a blog up with the email from the Valencia race organisers confirming it will be going ahead.
Hope the weather is kind for you TR
No problems with Achilles today did some strength work on it but no running as working tonight. Might run Saturday but definitely Sunday at the van.
Have a good weekend all.

Wardi - I definitely don't miss the 100 mile rides but I do occasionally miss tri.
Sorry to hear that OO61. Maybe just some easy running for a while? Have you considered seeing if a steroid injection would help? It's the last resort to settle mine when they have an acute flare up.
Hope you had a quiet night riggys.

OO61 - maybe just the one track session a week then? Can you do the sessions round a cricket pitch or some other decent grass surface?
Ouch Ouch- hope you go well
Riggsy - I was starting to think you were a prison officer (From something LMH wrote), but I understand now
2m minimal jog , so i did the full 30m taper week, not sure how that will affect a potential marathon in 2 weeks. Wore the VF3, understand the foot scraping comment, but hopefully that would reduce going 2min mile quicker. Not sure if I'll wear them tomorrow, should have used them for longer than 2m really.

Thanks guys. I don't go near needles LMH but thanks for the tip. Knee wasn't in the warm up so paced some club mates to sub 20 instead.
I'm sure the VF3 would be ok TR but go with your gut.
Enjoy the van trip Riggys, where are you off too?
