1. The smell of McDonalds meals (being delivered to a house as I walked past) 2. Decorations made by the local school hanging on the fence. 3. Realising how much I enjoy being out in the fresh air even though it was raining. |

A stroll along the promenade : 1. The sea gradually receding as the tide goes out. 2. RNLI lifeboat ready and waiting ( but hopefully not required) 3. Children paddling in the sea. |

A short walk this morning to my new local shop 1. I heard a cuckoo - I wonder if it’s the same one I heard on our coastal walk last week (about 3 miles as the cuckoo flies from here) 2. I noticed how hilly it is here compared to our pancake flat previous village 3. How quiet it is here |
