Our cats have been on holiday for about 5 weeks now at my mum's house (35 miles away).
Picking them up on Tuesday.
Will they need to be kept in at ours for a few days, like when you move home, or will they be fine straight away as it's a familiar place for them?

I took my cats with me to my Mum's for around 3 weeks at a time for a while, and they were fine straight away. Also when we moved for a couple of years and then came back to our old house, they seemed to recognise it immediately - I don't remember keeping them in for very long if at all.

Ours are indoor cats but it’s obvious they recognise home instantly after we’ve been away for several weeks. In fact they also remember my mother’s house too which they visit a few times a year for only a few days at a time. So I wouldn’t expect them to stray.

Thanks, I feel they'd be fine too.
