You can filter Sykes cottages by pets and sone mention cats but cats are territorial and may find the journey and a place that doesn’t smell of them quite stressful.

idle_wilder Oct 2022 8:28pm, 13 Oct 2022 3,716 posts	0 idle_wilder We're thinking about a pet sitter for our next longer holiday - our lovely neighbour who comes in to feed Henky says he's fine for the first few days, then gets nasty and attacks. She lets him out, so it's not like he's locked indoors while we're away - I think he just wants the company, as he'll always lie on my lap for spells to sleep when we're at home.

I'm a first time cat slave and want our two to have the best life possible as their previous owner went into care so we think they may have had a time when things weren't as they would like just before they were handed to Cats Protection. For holidays our in laws sit with them for a couple of hours each day (cats ignore them largely but seem to appreciate someone being in) and for more than a couple of nights one of them stays the odd night.
Serendippily Oct 2022 8:59pm, 13 Oct 2022 26,830 posts	0 Serendippily Our cats like the pet feeders. There’s no nonsense about having a non cat life, making a cuppa, unloading the dishwasher - it’s straight in with feeding and fuss and they tend to turn up promptly at the same time too
