I'd have liked to start December with a run but think I was a bit optimistic with my foot! Still not right and looking through my logs it's a regular occurrence in winter months Nov-Jan. Obviously need to warm up and strengthen yet obviously, after several years of the same, I fail to get down to it! Should, could...and all that!
Still have my target which is well within reach🤞.
And I think this morning s weather dampened my desire on top of that! Sod it, my wife did a five miler though!

Hard luck on the foot front Steve hope it sorts itself. You already achieved your 1000 with time to spare.

Hope your foot soon recovers Steve!

A 7.28 mile run in the forest this morning. I was surprised how boggy it was in places.

5k but not satisfied with how foot is behaving! Chilly morning but I went out three hours later than usual because it looked icy in places from the windows. Sunshine then was pleasant!
Yet another good distance there hs, continues to put me to shame😂

Well done HS and Steve. Stop knocking yourself Steve nobody puts you to shame. I got Dec off to a start with a little 3.6 which included some hills.
3 x long hills and 4x short hills. It was pretty cold out there.

Wondering how you are managing up there in the north east gg. And Lesley further north. Hope things are improving.
Thanks LL, well done with those brutish (?) hills.
Foot a bit better and ok for just two miles this morning.

Things are ok for us but not everyone. My in-laws got their electric back on Monday, they were very happy. There are still some areas without electric or water, that's been pretty much a week now. It's been freezing cold too.

The forestry commission has closed all the forests in the interests of safety. Our local parkrun can't go ahead for what could be a few months due the number of trees down.

Some roads are still not open yet either. It's been awful for many people.

The communities round here looking out for one another, folk delivering hot water and meals, offering rooms to others who have no heating. It's really nice to see.

I feel almost guilty for fleeing South for the weekend. Sounds nasty, hope it all gets back to normal soon Lesley. (We have friends staying in our house whilst we're away because their power is still off, but it's nothing like as major!)

Another 5k along the sea-front the other way this morning. It's a bit less calm...

15/100.
