And the lead time on the model I want means I wouldn’t get it until June! So going to look for a secondhand car.

Sorry to hear about the car, guess the engine is ruined, can they not get a second hand engine? My sister in law had the same a few years ago and Mercedes put in an engine for £4k.
Some new cars have a long wait, Porsche advised me 13 month wait while Jag was 2 weeks.

Glad you're hearing is ok hs. Kayaking sounds fun Peter and quite something after not doing it for a year. What a real shame about your car Mrsb, can't believe that such an event killed it. The school sound very much up their rear ends! It's a standard acceptance about jury service unless there are proper reasons to be excused: I was excused because I worked with people who were highly likely to be appearing in court and on another occasion for a medical reason. I did my first stint and enjoyed the couple of weeks off work! What a fabulous morning here even if only 3c. No wind, clear sky, no frost and sun just rising half way through 3.6 miles.

Oh no Mrs B, hopefully you can find something you like. Car shopping is not something I enjoy.
Think there is of money in Dubai if everyone is buying Porsche's and Jag's
I love my induction hob Peter, I will never go back to gas.
The foot seemed ok during my run this morning, I felt it at the beginning but it eased off. Wasn't too bad after I got out the car at work either. Will keep stretching. I know the triggers so will need to get some new everyday shoes.
It was a frosty one this morning, but the sun was starting to come up so I am happy - so fed up of the dark.

You earlier morning runners have my full admiration. Other than parkrun, never been able to motivate myself. It's partly due to enjoying my run, I like to have something to look forward to after I finish work.
Mrs B: sorry to hear about the car. I drive a 16 year old Toyota, only car I've had from new, worth not alot, I'd be heartbroken if the same had happen to me.
5 miles on the road (Monday) which I put real effort into and 4 treadmill miles.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments re my hearing test results. I am very lucky, as my hearing has remained relatively unchanged over the years.
Well done Steve for this mornings 3.6 miles in pleasant conditions.
Good to hear that your foot was feeling better during this mornings run Lesley. Keep up the stretching which seems to be 'doing the trick.' That's a lovely picture of your early morning run.
Donnie1, I see that running after work is your main motivation for running, which you enjoy.
Well done for your 5 miles on the roads, and 4 on the treddie. Congrats for hitting the 200 miles target.
This morning was bright and sunny, but still a very cold wind. I did a solo, very hilly 10k fartlek on roads.

A bright sunny morning, but very frosty. Just the usual Friday Farmers Walk.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's parkrun, but not sure which one we will be doing.

Oh MrsB I’m so angry on your behalf about the car absolutely sending all the bad karma to the kn@bby driver.
As for work bollocks to them too I know taking a person out of work has impacts but it’s not like it is you saying I want 2m off.
Good process call with my private physio on Wednesday (I won’t waffle here but I did a blog) but it’s been fab to get professional advice on progress.
New cooker sounds great hs, airfryer feature sounds interesting Peter
Def great news on your hearing hs, my hearing has never been good from childhood and I often think I should investigate whether a hearing aid would help me.
Glad the foot seemed ok today Lesley keep doing any strengthening exercises you can to keep it good.
Overall well done to all on your running and for the kayaking Peter!
On running physio is confident I’ll be back quicker than anticipated!
