No, the ball thrower was my prize :) (it was a dog show originally but there were so few dogs that I was allowed to enter with JC).

Mrs12bar & I went for a nice 11 mile walk today. Over Highdown Hill & up into the Angmering Estate Woods. We only saw 2 deer, but never mind, it was nice & shady in there & we took some sandwiches & drink.

When we had been home for a couple of hours, I went for a 3 mile run. Even at 6.30 pm, my Garmin gave the temperature as 70 degrees Fahrenheit. There isn't any air out there. I really hope this rain there predicting comes, all our water butts in the garden are empty.

I love that this thread has filled page after page with such gorgeous photos today - thank you all, they've really made me smile :-)

Thanks for asking Columba, my bitten foot no longer itches or is swollen, but the site of the bite has a large, hard blister. As it's where the strap of my sandals would be I'm having to wear flip flops, which is not ideal for my neuroma (it's the same foot). I'd pop the blister but I believe it might subside overnight so I'll look again tomorrow.

Did what's become my standard 6.5 mile off road route. Starts with a third of a mile beside the reservoir. This is now heaving - has become the walk of choice for quite a catchment area (I used to do late evening walk with dogs and might see someone else once in 2 months - last night here were still 15 cars parked...). But once I left the res and went through woodland and farmland I ran a further 5.5 miles and only saw one person - a fellow runner.

Highlight was seeing a good looking fox on the path 50 yards in front of me. He saw me and started trotting away down the path, then after a while looked round, saw that I was gaining on him, jumped and shot off through the hedge :)

More lovely pics today. :)

I made the most of this lovely weather today and went out on my bike with a planned stop on another beach for a couple of hours. It was lovely, the sea was like a millpond and the view was of The Needles. I managed to force myself into the water twice and of course it was lovely once in. :)

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
