Hey Tom, I have a TomTom 2, generally it's only a few seconds out on splits between Fetch and the MySports app, although there are sometimes anomalies where there is a more noticeable difference. As Huntsman says though, if you have to pause the watch for any reason that doesn't get picked up on the upload to Fetch (so my interval sessions always look terribly slow!)

I can get things way out on a garmin. strava is aware of moving time and total time as is fetch. Both use the data differently.
I'm tapering so a massive 3 miles on the treadmill this morning.

Ha ha I had fun with my how my splits were showing on strava this morning.
Ran 4.25 miles not pausing or stopping once.
Splits on my Watch : 8:53; 8:47; 8:45; 8:40; 2:16 (0.25)
Splits on strava : 8:20; 8:33; 8:43; 8:43
So whether strava is showing avg pace over the mile rather than the actual time run who knows but it is interesting to see how data is used differently
