What a weekend of racing, the PR is just the best one day race and now we have two. ![]() |

Great race. But I must admit I despise Moscon and the fact that he's still with INEOS is for me unacceptable. The UCI didn't act against him either, that is unacceptable. (and given Sky/INEOS being the poster boys of "clean cycling", it's another huge negative in my books - all PR fluff and no substance.) Totally behind the comments of Kevin Reza (who sadly retired earlier this year), in this article: "They manage to ban cheaters who take drugs, which is normal... I think that racism and discrimination in general must be on a par with these kinds of acts. I do not see any other action that can be taken against racist acts." skysports.com |

The Women's Tour of Britain came through Cowley today, a short walk for me to go and watch them trundle by (racing hadn't really started yet): |

Good stuff. I'm currently on a train to the Midlands, to go and watch stages 2 and 3. Hoping it won't be too soggy.

Nico Roche has just announced his retirement. A lot of the riders at their peak when I was really starting to get into the sport a decade and a half ago seem, not unsurprisingly, to be doing so. Still expect Valverde will push it out a few seasons though! |

It seems to be drying up a bit now. The pictures of the women's race this morning looked very wet! Those cobbles can't have been nice.

Yes, it's much drier now than it was! (Currently refuelling in a cafe before heading back out to watch the rest of the race)
