Ok new to the dog world after a 20 year break. ex-OH didnt like dogs (that should have told me something in itself ) Am now the proud owner of a rehomed 10 month old Working Cocker Spaniel who is lovely. Bit of a change for someone brought up on labradors, but hey he has about the same energy levels as me and certainly the same nuttiness, so away we go

Welcome CStar! A working Cocker should be a perfect 'fit' for you I think
Cute photo Dip
There's a gorgeous-looking Labradoodle lost out on the hill above our house - lots of FB posts of people having spotted her but it's dark now and there's an awful lot of hill to lose a dog in. Thank goodness we've never lost one of our dogs but it's always been something in the back of my mind when they were silly puppies. Nightmare for the poor owners

When shadow had only been with us about two weeks he ran past me out of the door. He's still a raving idiot, so we had no idea if we'd ever see him again - Sam followed him, and luckily he just went exactly the way we had walked him every day and came back around to the house again, then let me close enough to get hold of his collar. The whole ordeal must have taken less than 10 minutes, but I felt every second of them.
