Cleo the Whippet doesn’t make a great subject for snoozing dog photos.

🤣 lovely pic Fergus.

Murphy likes to put himself to bed early. No pics because he got into his crate shortly after 8 and barked for me to tuck him in ( shut the door/cover crate with blanket/turn out the lights).

Very relieved to say that the missing dog was found at 3:45 am this morning - his owners stayed out all night looking for him, had returned to their car (where they'd parked at the start of the ill-fated walk) for a rest when they heard a scratching on the car bumper...it was 'a sheepish Teddy' :-) Phew.

Good that he knew to go back to the car when he'd finished his adventure at least! The only time we 'lost' Wanda, which co-incidentally was the first time we ever let her off lead in a 'safe' path with a fence either side of it (which she jumped) and not before we thought we had mastered the recall command (also in another safe place the dog training class at the village hall) she disappeared across a couple of fields but eventually returned to where we were - proudly bringing us a bird that she had caught. Luckily she was persuaded to part with the bird which survived. She does go off lead now and she mostly does recall to me without a problem but is always muzzled because while I can compete with birds 95% of the time I'm not sure I'd be more desirable than a muntjac!

Flossie twirled in and out of my legs when I collected her from the boarders on Monday :-)
