There does not seem to be a mechanism for review of changes to travel infrastructure round here. The most frequent issue is fairly lethal metal barriers at the bottom of slopes. This ripping up of a lovely tarmac surface that was only about two years old (three?), out of the blue to me, is another example. My impression is that the cause is local councillors acting on requests, but given the outcomes quite possibly not asking other groups what they thought before initiating work. There is such a thing as planning permission. Perhaps it does not apply to such works. |

Thankfully, the latest set of ill-considered barriers was quickly removed, following feedback. camcycle.org.uk |

I've had my second Fetchpoint fail in a week. Overestimating the accuracy of GPS is a dangerous game. I knew this one was a risk before I set out, but hoped that GPS would err on my side of the road. ![]() This one was a bit of a shock; and I really could have mitigated that a bit better had I anticipated it. Looks like I'm going to have to go out again later and nail this bug. [If I wasn't on 26 or 27 days of bug-freeness, I might not care so much.] |

Quite a bit of a translation in those maps. 😟

Probably within the 10m or whatever GPS is accurate to though, JCB. Unfortunately.

It looks to be more of an overall consistent error. A translation of position Northward from the map. There isn’t much randomness in the plot though, which would be typical in GPS signal. I also think some maps can be a bit off.

Went to ride my bike to squish my bug but had a flat tyre! Decided to roller skate there and back as quicker than walking!

First time I've heard of anyone roller-skating for Fetchpoint squishing. ![]() |

I wasn’t sure it would work but I’m glad it did!
