I already have the kit and the supplies. Now I have an objective to use the supplies and learn to use the kit properly. I make stuff as and when I need it. It would be good to make as and when I like instead. Just realised that my window seat cushion and food-mixer cover aren't even on my Ravelry feed! Toddles off to find camera. |

I can't fit the mixer into the cupboard so keep it on the worktop with a dustcover on it. Alternatives are: a) all food will be flavoured with fine spaniel hairs b) clean the machine every time *before* use. |

Sorry helegant, we've got a wee food mixer so it does fit in the cupboard. I remember how our dog hairs managed to get everywhere in the house but he did clear up all the crumbs.

I made a food processor cover for a friend once. William Morris willow fabric (I made curtains in the same material) and piped seams. One fairly boring project for me soon is to make removable covers for large cushions which we have for the garden daybeds. They have moisture-proof covers but they get a bit mucky being outside so I want a removable, washable cover on top. Also made lots of smaller cushion covers for them. Though as the "cushions" are actually cheap pillows the covers are constructed like pillowcases, with a button to keep them closed. Taking yarn for a baby blanket on a work trip tomorrow - I've made it a few times but never taken a picture. The pattern's on Rav ravelry.com - super-easy but I do need to focus on counting stitches. Baby (neighbour's) is due June 6th. |

I was turning a heel on the train yesterday and got a few comments along the lines of my gran used to do that - in a nice nostalgic way
