Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

My mother, rather unlike her, has brought me a thoughtful gift. My sewing box is an old biscuit tin and it's been added to bit by bit over the years. She obviously seen this and realised it's not really fit for purpose so she's given me a big sewing box and filled it with sewing tools.

Unwrapping it last night took me right back to my childhood when fiddling through my mother's sewing box was an exciting adventure.

How cool!
When hubby leaves for work today I'm going to empty my yarn draws and sort my stash.

I know I have loads of sock yarn and a couple of collections for tops I'm probably never going to make!
Also need to sort wips. All when he's out of sight!

That's exciting, Wobbling! I don't sew, but I have my grandmother's old sewing chest and the needles and pins and tiny scissors have come in useful. I also have a button box. I don't suppose it's OK to let other people's children play with your box of odd buttons like I used to love to do when we went visiting when I was a child, in case they inhale them or stick them up their noses.

No crafty pressies for me. This is A Good Thing. I have enough. Forever.

(Though I wouldn't turn my nose up at a full set of fixed circular needles with smooth wooden tips. I'm loving using the ones I bought for aeroplane knitting.)

Sounds like a challenge - 1 pair of socks every week in 2017!

Spinkle you are in part to blame encouraging the sock addiction!!

I can only do a pair in 2 weeks so that won't happen
