OK, embarrassed to be asking this .... could someone explain what 'body battery' on my Garmin update means? Today's (post very boggy trail run) says +0/-23 🤔

[body battery is Garmin trying to give you an indication as to how much energy you have. The lower the number (I don't think it goes pass 5) the more tired you are

rest recharges it and stress depletes it
+0/-23 means (I think) that you haven't charged your battery at all and have lost 23 points]

^^ That sounds like something very useful, but impossible to be accurate enough to have any meaning.

[EvilPixie Thanks for explanation, although I'm still a bit confused! To be honest, I only use my watch for mileage and to see where and how far I've run ;-) ]

I think the Body Battery thing would only work properly if you wore your watch 24/7 so it would record recharge while sleeping and then depleting during the day. I don't believe my Garmin records sleep at all well as it will tell me I have slept really well, even if I have been awake half the night and just not moving. I would need to be much more of a tosser and turner to convince it in that regard.

^^ I'm such a tosser that I find my Garmin body battery totally reliable.

Looks as if Dio was right about water tables: here's a boot-shaped puddle a good foot above the water-level in the stream a foot or so lower
