I had a pair but sold them when a) I found out they weren’t race legal and b) because when they arrived and I tried them on, I couldn’t get out the living room door 🙂
Ridiculously high and unstable

Same guy who borrowed a pair of VF off another elite when his shoes got lost on his flight last year, and won the Mumbai marathon.
He has run over a minute quicker than today's DQ time, so all round not a great ad for the illegal shoes really. But that doesn't mean they aren't quick, it's just one data point and maybe conditions/course were tougher today.
There are a lot of people who think the 40mm stack height is a rule which only applies to elites I've noticed (redditors were salivating over the release of Prime X and most didn't seem to care they couldn't be used for racing)
Would expect a handful of people have worn the Prime X in recent road races everywhere. Some countries might allow them anyway.

Agree. Wouldn't be surprised if they appear in smaller races. Possibly a good training shoe given the clear powers of recovery, or reduction of fatigue anyway, but just too unstable for me, particularly with the way I land.
I raced Stirling 10k yesterday, with Andy Butchart taking an easy win in 29.06. He was in the NB Fuelcell Elite RC. Saw a few folk in the Endorphin Pros, me in the Adios 2 and pretty much the rest of the top 100 runners in Alphafly or Vaporfly. Nike still clearly miles ahead

There's no excuse at thay level for not knowing the rules. It's no better than "forgetting" to tell the drug testers where you're going.
I fear there will be increasing dishonesty at lower levels where there won't be rigorous checks.

Dishonesty and/or cluelessness, but I won’t lose too much sleep if someone wearing them beats me in a parkrun

Decided on Saturday that a parkrun wasn't a significant enough event for me to wear my main race shoes, the Endorphin Pros, and ran in Shifts instead. Missed out on my target time by a handful of seconds, which the Pros would probably have given me...

I've been tempted to do a parkrun in my Tempo Next%s, which are also illegal for races, but so far I'm just to darned law-abiding

Are they illegal for parkruns, though? They're not run under the aegis of UKA, are they?
