I always find runs in my ZFs noticeably easier or quicker. Gutted you cannot get them but do still have 1 (might even be 2) unused pairs under my bed. If they were freely available I might use them as my regular show of choice. Wouldnt use them in the current conditions through

Is that a real oddity though Larkim? The research showed the ZF were pretty good.

...and my racers were just faster without trying to put in effort as well.

Baz, what do you say you can't get Zoom Fly anymore ? They are still produced, on to v3 now, the only difference between it and the v2 is the upper changed from flyknit to vaporweave, but the midsole and the plate are the same I believe. Nike website even has one of the colourways reduced to under £100 with all the popular sizes available - there's even 15% off this now if you are a member of the Nike Club !! (4 other colours available for £140 if you don't like black and white ) nike.com |

Wow, I was pretty sure they stopped making them and last time I had a money off offer I couldnt find any. I did receive that 15% offer this morning and given the Postie has just delivered Mrs Axe a new pair of walking boots, I have no reason not to add to my show collection. Thanks for letting me know

I like my ZF3. It’s a bit odd though as I find it quite hard to run easy in them. I know that’s not what they’re designed for, but my VF Next% (obviously lighter and meant for racing) I feel I can run easy in as well. I’m really not sure why this would be but it’s just what I’ve found. I think it’s partly because the rocker feeling is more pronounced for me in the ZF3 compared to the VF Next%. I’d get the ZF3 again though so the above isn’t a complaint.

I thought I found that too, Big_G but I dismissed it as me just self-justifying not running an easy pace properly. I wasn't surprised that the ZFs were good and fast, but I'd invested in the Adios 4 with an assumption that they'd be about as fast as the ZFs. I think as much as anything it was that I'd never previously noticed a link between my shoes and my pace; I'd often do tempos in either the ZFs or the Ravennas, and not draw any conclusions about pace about them. I'll have to go back and look and see if there is a correlation there that I wasn't really seeing before. I've also got a nice shiny new pair waiting to be used from the ZF2 line. |

Just the one pair for now Gus. I also have my annual free pair of Asics to be claimed which is handy as the current crop of shoes are coming to the end of their useful life sadly.
