Looks like Sarah Hall had some different ASICS shoes on for the Marathon Project. Same colour as the Metaracer but far bigger stack height. Anyone know the details? I’ve got the Metaracer and they are really comfortable, big toe box and feel fast, but they’re not a marathon shoe (not that I run many marathons these days)

These ones ? Look like Asics are taking full advantage of the new stack height limits. With the recent rule change to allow prototypes again, then guessing these aren't available to public yet |

There was controversy over Sara Hall using prototypes before the rule officially changed IIRC.

You're right SPR - weren't they authorized for "health reasons"?

I've been doing mildly pointless streaking for the last 79 days, most of which has been a 2 mile run around precisely the same route with precisely the same intent every time in terms of pacing. I've been mixing up the shoes between my day to day Ravennas, the Adios 4 and the Zoomfly (2). I need to tidy up some data on this, but almost invariably when I use the Zoomflys I can be 20-30s faster overall across a 15minute run without ever intending to or feeling like I'm putting in more effort. Not exactly a high quality scientific study, but it has really surprised me with the consistency and repeatability. |

You really ought to put just one on and see if you go round in circles

Doesn't surprise me TBH. I have a similar effect going from training shoes to light weight racers.

Puma release their first carbon plated, high stack shoe with the Deviate Nitro. This review thinks it's a tad heavy and not responsive enough to rival the top notch racers from it's rivals, but a worthy opponent for that next tier down, ie Tempo Next%, Endorphin Speed, Fuelcell TC, Adizero Pro, etc roadtrailrun.com |

The oddity is the difference between the ZFs and the Adios 4. Adios seem to match my Ravennas, the ZFs don't. I was also surprised that it appears to be detectable on such a short and casual run.
