Are they available anywhere at the moment? Sold out on Adidas site. No rush of course, my race calendar isn't exactly full right now But I always liked the adios adizero for all distances before the VF came along so think there's a good chance I'll get on with the fit (even if the sole is very different of course).

Very easy to confuse Adizero Pro with Adizero Adios Pro, especially with same colour scheme Baffling naming system |

Is it the marathon where the guys were wearing the Adidas? If so, what were the 4 guys who all broke the previous world record wearing? I have to say there is something which seems to me just a bit wrong about that. Nobody should be knocking 29 seconds off an already very strong half marathon record, only set last year.

OK, so to (partly) answer my own question, this is from the Guardian: "While most distance records have been set in Nike shoes, Kandie was wearing the new Adidas Adizero Adios Pros, which contain 39mm foam as well as five tuned carbon-infused ‘energy’ rods that mimic the metatarsal bones of the foot."

It is a confusing naming system but to me they look very different to the Adizero Pro. The rods do start showing on the sole very quickly though, by all accounts.

Of the 4 that broke the previous Half WR, I think it was 1st 3rd and 4th in the adidas and 2nd in the Nike. In the full, 1st was adidas, a close 2nd Nike. So not just like all the adidas athletes left the Nike athletes for dead. I'd imagine it's just leveled the playing field between the majority of the sponsored athletes, which is good for racing imo. |

BG - That's not a problem though is it? I've just seen on Twitter that IAAF are allowing prototypes again. Basically IAAF can't afford to regulate the sport. |

This might be a daft question, but where in the sole (top to bottom) is the carbon plate? I thought it was middleish to 2/3rds down, so that the foam wasn't one big wibbly wodge.
