I saw that The North Face have a carbon fibre plate trail shoe coming in 2021. Not many pics around I don't think, but it seems more stripped down compared to that Nike shoe. trailrunnermag.com |

Saucony also releasing an Endorphin Trail next year, but no confirmation of midsole nor plate, although doesn't sound like it's a race shoe as weight is supposed to be almost 300g for US 9

I'm like a kid at Xmas, as my Nikes are turning up today, which is 6 days earlier than they said they would  Slightly disappointed I had to go for the salmon colour but I can't have it all. Is anyone tuning in to watch Valencia tomorrow? It's a very stacked field. Let's do a "shoe watch" to see what people are wearing. It is being streamed tomorrow from their site, and is on Eurosport too. Nikes have turned up. They didn't have tags in though. Does anyone know if Nike send out shoes that have been tried and returned? There is no apparent wear on the tread but the foam is very, very slightly creased. I assume this is normal but ideally I wouldn't want a shoe that has been returned previously. First impressions is that on comparing to the ZF3, they're much lighter. I'm pleased I bought them. |

Looking at the photos of the favourites for Valencia :- Full : 11 Nike vests, 2 Adidas vests Half : 5 Nike vests, 6 Adidas vests Think that shows that you can't really tell anything from the results as to which out of all the carbon plated race shoes is the best, the Brooks or Saucony or NB could be best, but if none of the favourites are wearing them.......... |
