Makes sense. The VF Next% was a change changed due to feedback IIRC so makes sense most moved over. Alphafly is obviously faster but might not suit a wide range of athletes enough for mass adoption.

As someone who runs in primarily low drop or zero drop shoes, I'm wondering whether the Alphafly, at 4mm, might work better for me than the Next% at 8mm. The 12mm of the 4% shoes was certainly off0putting for me, although I've never tried any of these shoes. Can people feel the difference with the Alphafly?

Alphafly are 15-20% heavier than Vaporfly (vaporweave) and I have heard some elites don't like the feel of them. I think I'd kill a pair of Alphafly in all of 10 minutes due to the pods and the connecting rubber, seen pics of them falling apart after one run and I'm sure that's how they would go on my feet, so I won't be buying any. |

Zen - thanks. I've raided the piggy bank once, I might have to wait and read and listen to where to go when I next can!

Oooh nice colours! My next% have gone a total of 5.4km and are still in the bag. I hope I have a race to train for soon. |

I wonder why they just didn't use the same mesh material as the alphafly. I did a run in the rain with mine this weekend and I don't think they retained any water at all.

On the roads around here I'll have the sole in shreds long before I trouble the forefoot material enough to want a rand. The undersides of my 4%s are starting to look a little battered after 120-ish miles. Pretty colour, though.
