Time it wrong, and if you ask for such a thing in the excellent Martellas Fish & Chips (formerly Fish'n'Chick'n) in Chelmer Village and you'll get a severe kicking for being a DNB.

I’m not that bothered about chips. Add gravy or curry sauce and you have something very good

Nicholls595 mild and bitter is ‘mixed’. If you’re really into it you might specify mild on top or vice versa. Chips and peas is a ‘mix’

Ketchup, especially Heinz, is flipping awful, it smells like sick and people eat it!

Salt, maybe Vinegar.

My dad used to drink light and bitter, half a pint from the pump, bottle of light ale.

There's some minging stuff in here but cheese curds on chips is bad and only made worse with gravy. Coach is right. A good dose of salt and vinegar is all that is required. You'll be calling it a jus next. Bloody gravy. Boik.
