interesting Rog, thanks for taking the time to share. Lovely looking session there too.

WF - you clearly know exactly what you’re doing, that’s clear to see from that analysis. Anywhere you can do a bit more and you’ll surely find further improvements. Lovely...

Here you go for me.

Avge pace a bit slower than others. I expect Abingdon avge to come down in line with others as I get through the next few weeks of the plan

Chester 2014 for reasons I dont recall was a bit quicker

Edin 2016 which was my PB is distorted by having run London 5 weeks before.

I need to find out how London 2019 and London 2016 fit into that as well as they were both 3:02s and also might be interesting to go back and see how Edin 2009 and London 2010 compare as they were next 2 fastest and I suspect in those days I ran a bit quicker

London 19 was 3:02:09 and avge pace of 8:35mm which I can find if I check by WAVA, but done seem to be able to get the others from the graph generator

A bit disappointed with today’s 10k in 41:12. Legs never seemed ready to race this weekend and I struggled in the wind l, never getting close to the pace I was aiming for.

Heart rate effort was high in the second half but couldn’t get any faster!

Oh well in the grand scheme of things it’s just a stepping stone towards Chester so just going to say job done and move on.

The chase for sub 40 goes on.

Looks like a bit of a progression, however performance versus calendar date is probably a clearer correlation! The big jump up for the last two years didn't really bring a big dividend, I am just getting better with experience.

Either way I'm expecting to break it at York with a very low mileage (only 12 week plan) and modest performance :-)

WW - I’ve got 4 long runs of 18-23 left in the plan, 7 weeks to race now.

At least two of those will have MP efforts in them, another will have a parkrun and tempos after it.

Plus doing a half marathon 4 weeks out so should be in a decent position to judge potential MP.

Sjjh, saw on other thread you'd given blood not so long ago and wonder if that is a factor. Must admit I have basically given that up, partly put off by it often being quite soon before a race though to be honest the bigger issue was the closing of the local donor session (which was always packed out).

I think that was Sigh who gave blood, similar names I agree.

Training effect of 4.6 and couldn’t go any faster on the day, watch was even saying 56 hours recovery so I can’t deny the effort was there.

Not long to a half marathon and honestly believe if all goes well I won’t be far off yesterday’s pace in that!
