so, the good news from a physio visit is no major issues to keep me off running as long as I do my homework The bad news is that my running every day was frowned upon and seen to be a contributory factor. Along with my lack of stretching, strength work and general flexibility. I guess I might need to duck out of here and make sure I have a bot more variety |

I’m glad it is nothing too serious Baz. If I did all the exercises I’ve been given over the years it would take all day! I just randomly pick a few to do each (most!) evening...

Baz take it easy {frowned upon} The physios I see once in a blue moon have a more relaxed opinion and are runners themselves but there you go🙂

I have it on good authority that skipping the stretches is not that much of a sin. fetcheveryone.com/blog/4996/2021/2#blog418456 |

To be fair I know I have zero flexibility. Embarrassingly bad. I always have great intentions but I don’t enjoy the stretch and strength work. I do enjoy running though. Maybe once back I could have a couple of days of lower miles but add-in the other stuff |

I think the thing is some of us break all the rules and it works! Just get yourself back to it Baz, whatever it takes! I don’t really see any point to stretching or strength work I don’t think I’m invincible and I do worry about getting injured but I also think my gentle slow plod is what stops me getting injured, last time I hurt something I was running my fastest marathon of 2020! |

Baz, just do 1 mile streaksavers on 'rest' days to help with your recovery from longer/harder runs. It keeps the legs ticking over nicely while keeping the streak intact.
