If Sky try that it will be the kiss of death. Imho they should try and keep the team in the top 30 all day but out of the wind and just make sure G has a good position into all the hills until the second time up the Paterberg and Oude Kwaremont. Then whoever is left just fire riders off the front to force a chase and keep G safe until the last time up those hills and then it,ll be every man for himself

I think they need the race too be hard (don't want Kristoff, Degenkolb, etc there at the end), but they shouldn't go overboard. I'm actually thinking that EQS should refuse to take responsibility for the race, given they don't have a finisher atm. With Boonen, they could thin out the group, but then the onus was on the riders left from other teams as Boonen was likely to win the sprint. The problem any favourite has, is when they are the focus of the other teams, do they have a winning move that the others struggle to counter. Can Thomas get away when everyone will be looking for his wheel? |

Given his ride up the Kwaremont last Friday I would say that G has every chance to ride most off his wheel the third time up there

De Panne neutralised for the first ks. Hope they are racing when the TV starts shortly. Etixx have only 6 of the permissable 8 and several other teams only have 7. Will be the usual mass withdrawal before the TT on the last day I'm sure. Hopefully Wiggins will last. Apropos of nothing I'm told that this Fetchie is featured on TEAM WIGGINS Farcebook title page using a snap from the TT Nationals in Celtic Manor last year. As I'm not a fan I may not ever see it, hey ho. |

Turns out I was shown some sort of mock up and I shall not now be sharing with Wiggo, 15 seconds of fame maybe, oh well. Read that Wiggo is going to ride to numbers at P-R, good luck with that. Sean Kelly writes that G is now favourite for Flanders and Roubaix, no sense in disagreeing although sadly I have had to cancel our trip to Roubaix to see G win the senior to go with his junior wn in 2004, for which we were present. |

Would have been at the start. Start real. Troisvilles. Hornaing. Orchies and Carrefour De l arbre. Have a great one RM. Not jealous at all.

I agree with Flanders, but not sure about PR. Re Wiggins, from what I read, it was about training rather than racing to numbers: "Team Sky and Bradley Wiggins will race Paris-Roubaix next Sunday according to feel, but also with a big bag of scientific research at their disposal." Kristoff: I don’t need to be the strongest to win the Tour of Flanders: cyclingnews.com But I'm not sure Kristoff can follow the favourites. If he can, there is trouble ahead, especially if Paolini is with him. |

Anyway, I put Thomas, Stybar, Vanmarcke and Terpstra as the favourites for Flanders.
