Assuming DWP answer the phone and don't just cut you off.
I hear rumours the pre-2016 cut-off may have been extended because of the current situation. But I haven't seen anything formal.

Oddly, it's a shambolic way for them to collect money. Normally, I'd hope, 'receiving & processing payment' is one thing that most organisations focus on and dedicate resources to allow it to flow smoothly.

Ok, it only took a little over a hour on hold (once I tried the 0300 NI number rather than the 0800 one). And then I finally got a helpful person who dealt with it quite efficiently (and my wife’s near-identical case in the same call). Now we just need to persuade our banks to process the not insubstantial payments…

I've just gone through my phone contacts and deleted all my old work contacts who I have nothing to do with anymore. It's only taken me 18 months, but I found it quite cathartic 🙂

I deleted my LinkedIn profile at the earliest possible point.

I’m still getting “Hi John” emails from recruiters I’ve never heard of to this day.
