I always thought I just had a five year attention span, because that's how long I stuck at my last three jobs.

i always laughed at the typical "where do you see yourself in 5 years?" questions when being interviewed for a 3 year contract.

3-4 years max tenure for 30 years of career so far here too.

The company I'm contracting at just now gives you a day a week off for 6 months (going down from 5 days to 4 days a week) on full pay after you resign!

Two resignations so far in the team I'm in when that was discovered! :-) G

My ex-employer gives a paid monthly sabbatical every four years, on top of normal holidays. I have known people complain about this, on the basis that their other half can't get the same time off, and what are they going to do with for a month without work?

The only reward I got for long service (20+ years) was the expectation to work harder for even more hours. :-p

I was 26 years with last job and currently 17 years with this job - I don't move about much

For 25 years I got £250 vouchers which I suppose back then was good - even now it would be better than no recognition

I got £250 of vouchers at 20 years and £500 at 30.
