He's a Fetchie, rjb on here, jda. He doesn't put everything on the site, but you can see some of his race times on his profile: fetcheveryone.com/users/74067 |

Thanks! I take great inspiration from people still running competitively at <mumble> years older than me. Gives me something to cling on to as I descend into my dotage...

His age group in our local league is very competitive, and he also knows a few very speedy 65+ chaps who aren't in clubs, but do similarly fast parkruns.

It’s encouraging that our Vets League has this year introduced a trial 70s category. However, the committee decided a few years ago to cut the high jump and triple jump from the 60s events. Doesn’t mean a codge like me can’t do it….but I have to compete as a 50. Hope they keep the 70s til next year… I’ll clean up locally *blows trumpet* |

Note I only said locally, there are several v talented W70s. But that’s a good thing as V-rap says.

I need to be careful with the boasting Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs) Last night I loudly announced to B. and Raffo, 'Right, well I've won my first two events.' High jump and shot. Forgetting that I was entered as a W50 and not the sole 60 plus-er. I was out first with a low height and actually last. (I did win the shot put, honest. And it wasn't one out of one) |
