Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's one of life's forks in the road.

My sister always stayed close to home - lived at home much longer, never moved more than easy 30 mins drive away, sees my mum weekly, discusses the minutae of life with her daily.

I got out as soon as I could at 18, the disposable incomes sacrifices were, in my mind, value for money. Moved all about since then, location of my parents being a complete irrelevance in terms of where I ended up. I don't see my mum much, nor share much detail of my life with her, that's just what its always been.

Parents are relative to retirement as you have to potentially factor in having to commute to see them
my annual miles is typically 4k a year but when dad was ill/died my mileage jumped to 15k and with petrol costs that is a huge increase
so if your plans say £70 a month on fuel ...

One of my wife's friends reacted to the news that we may retire to Yorkshire with 'Hmph, well if I'd known that before, I wouldn't have invested so much in this friendship'.

That's quite remarkable.

One of my besties (and an e-buddy of Glenners') now lives in Tokyo. Can I trade him in for a refund?
