It never occurs to me to put the radio on these days. I only here it as Mrs D puts it on out of habit when she's home. I usually end up turning it off because they play one to many terrible records. Not sounding old at all, am I? |

Should also have said.... We use a routine in Alexa to wake up to BBC Radio 2. (At least, Mrs3M does, since I'm usually out of bed before then!) But oddly, periodically it refuses to play Radio 2 and defaults to the World Service, which is a lot more subdued and doesn't really wake anyone up! Entertainingly too, there's now a Dutch?/German? station available, also called "Radio 2" and it recently started playing that instead until I got clever and specified BBC Radio 2 in the routine. |

3M. Great news. I need to caw canny over our bonus as I don’t trust them to play by the rules. Hence why end march is my date to hand in notice once I have it in my bank. I could go up to a month earlier when I have verbal notification. |

The rules where I worked were that you didn’t get paid a bonus after you’d handed in your notice. For the year ended June 2024, bonus paid in October, then three months’ notice, I would have had to stay until January 2025. Which was the original plan, but I just couldn’t stay that long! And on my 60% part time salary, max bonus 10%, it wouldn’t have been huge amount anyway.

Someone asked on a reward call today if you get a bonus if you leave.. answer is yes if you were employed on the cut off date. I think for me that is end December but payout is April so I would look to leave after that date to be doubly sure. On radio I do like Chris Evans but rarely put radio on when I’m working as I can’t manage to listen to them. I mostly listen to podcasts or Amazon music these days the ads do my head in on radio. |

My employer was overly generous when I left. 6 months after I left l got a call from payroll asking to check my bank details so they could pay my annual bonus 😀. We also got an annual bonus for 100% attendance; I was given 7 months worth of that when I left. And I got a retirement bonus, even though I was retiring early and there was no guarantee I wouldn't get another job elsewhere. |

I got an unexpected bonus in the post several months after I had left. It was a lovely surprise and I’ve never forgotten it. |

At my current employment, you have to be employed and not under notice on the day the bonus is paid to qualify, unless you are retiring. Bonus is paid end of March for the previous year. So, I should get 2024 bonus in my last pay pack and then 1/4 of the 2025 bonus in March 2026.
