Very sad.
Makes me wonder how all 3 could have gone? Roped up but not anchored?

That's what we were thinking. I have looked into it closely, but presumably this was a result of a Curved Ridge transit?

One of the media reports says it was an experienced guide and 2 clients. Quite a few sections that clients might feel more secure with a rope on, but not steep enough to pitch, so they would all be moving without any anchors. NE, what did you mean by Curved Ridge transit ?

Ignonre me Gus, I'm having a bad morning and my brain is scrambled - I was thinking of that ridge on Aonach Eagach and confusing it with the other scary ridge in my head on Buachaille Etive Mor. Mind you, the pinnacles on Liathach are pretty scary too.

Last Monday we did Ruadh-stac Mòr and Spidean Coire nan Clach (Beinn Eighe). I bloody love Torridon. Tough day out due to hot, humid weather.
Today Braeriach from Sugar Bowl. Felt like a much easier day.
