mrs shanksi my wife always wants to read loads about what we’re gonnae do. I never bother. But she’ll get really nervous & I find eventually this transmits to me, whereas if she didn’t I’d be fine.

Finally a view from The Cuillin today after a cloud out on Bla Bheinn last year.

Bruach Na Frithe via the Fionn Choire. Skirted under Sgurr An Fhion Choire and to the summit before reversing the route.
The ridge was considered, along with Sgurr A Bhasteir, but the wind direction meant the best protection was trying to stay in the shelter offered by the ridge. Although the south westerly gusts seemed to be able to do a loop of the Coire and give us a blast on their way out.

We also timed the weather window to perfection. When we set off and finished the ridge was in cloud, but we got some good views from the top.

The Skye envy is real. We headed down to Glen Feshie today and did Mullach Clach a' Bhlàir. Glen Feshie was lovely as always but the summit is rather disappointing.

Nearby Sgor Gaoith more than makes up for it though, if you do that as well - the summit cairn right on th edge of the steep drop down to Loch Einich far, far below :-)

I’ve been up Sgor Gaoith a couple of times already. I cansee why people pick them off together.
